Mr. Cleary is a frequent lecturer for the Vermont Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute on various legal subjects and has presented recurrent seminars to many of the New England Medical Societies and health care facilities/clinic practices, as well as the American Academy of Surgeons, the American Ophthalmology Association, the American College of Mental Health Administrators, and various hospital and group medical and surgical practice organizations throughout the Northeast. He is a frequent lecturer at risk management seminars for various product and service industries in the United States and Canada and has written exclusively on the subjects of tort reform, comparative negligence, rules of evidence, and products liability, as well as specialized litigation problems for legal associations' continuing legal education symposiums.
Mr. Cleary is defense counsel for the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and its affiliates, Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, and Washington, Orange, and Rutland County mental health services. His practice is limited to litigation in state and federal courts, principally in the Northeast. He has had much experience as a successful mediator and arbitrator in various matters.
